Smith Family Farm was created in 2011, we operate on roughly 10 acres. We grow on about 1.5 acres, we have a couple greenhouses and about 60 hens we use for eggs. We do not use any chemical fertilizers, sprays or anything that ends in "cide" on our food. We use very little fossil fuel and harness the energy of the sunlight to help us stretch our season by using unheated low tunnels and high tunnels to grow our produce. We use compost to build soil and that provides the foundation for our crops. We believe in simple techniques, inexpensive materials and big results.
